AQUATAIN AMF^® is a unique, product to control mosquito larvae. AQUATAIN AMF^® is a liquid product containing silicone (polydimethylsiloxane - PDMS) which can easily be applied to the surface of stagnant and standing water; it forms an ultra-fine film on the surface which covers the whole extension.

AQUATAIN AMF^® is a product authorised for free sale - no registration necessary -  in all European Union countries, Switzerland, Brazil, Australia, New Zealand. No resistance cases have been registered. Exclusively produces a physical-mechanical type of action and does not contain any potentially toxic component. It prevents larvae and pupae from taking in the oxygen they require to develop into adults, causing them to suffocate as a result. In fact, the low surface tension of the silicone film prevents larvae and pupae from attaching to the surface of the water in order to take in the oxygen from the air that they need to survive. Moreover, studies have shown that the low surface tension also has an impact on spawning: adult females do not lay their eggs on water that has been treated with AQUATAIN AMF^® and should they come into contact with the silicone film whilst laying their eggs, they would become trapped and die.This way, the entire life cycle of the mosquito is blocked.

The results of the effectiveness tests conducted on AQUATAIN AMF^® all over the world speak for themselves: the effectiveness of the product is total.

• 100% pupa mortality of all species within 3 hours
• 100% mortality of L3 and L4 stage larvae within 3 days
• 94% mortality of larvae at stages L1 and L2 in about 10 days 100% suppression of pupation
• No eggs laid on treated water
• Many females die while trying to lay eggs on the film
• The product is effective for at least 4 weeks
• Does not create phenomena of resistance

FURTHER INFORMATION RELATING TO THE EFFECTIVENESS OF AQUATAIN AMF^® were carried out in Italy:

• Field tests conducted on Aedes albopictus and Culex pipiens demonstrate a high index of inhibition to flickering and an efficacy of at least 4 weeks, confirming the laboratory and semi-field tests.
• The larvae strongly slow down their development, not reaching the pupal stage and therefore the adult stage.
• There is a sharp reduction in the oviposition activity of females.
• Further tests are underway to further prove the effectiveness of the treatments in the various operational scenarios.

Where does it apply?

The product can be used wherever mosquitoes can reproduce.

AQUATAIN AMF^® is recommended for professional and domestic use (it is available in bottles, cans and dispensers with drop counter) in still and stagnant waters: lakes, reservoirs, rice paddies, sewers, drains, manholes, drains, water tanks. water, drinking water, saucers, buckets, septic tanks, tires, gutters, etc.

How is it applied?

It should be used directly

• Apply 1 ml of product as is every square meter of stagnant water surface.
• Apply 1-5 ml (recommended dose 2 ml) of product as it is for manhole covers, drains and road grating, in accordance with the load of organic substance present.

It is recommended to apply the product with the "Larvamatic" equipment. Depending on the surface of the area to be treated, simply pour the indicated amount of AQUATAIN AMF^® and in a short time the surface will cover itself evenly.
