Automatic counting of flying insects catches

It allows the automatic counting of flying insects catches and through infrared technology, characterizes the catches based on the size of the captured insect (with three dimensional intervals) and the type of insect entry. In this way the system allows to distinguish: mosquitoes, sand flies or other flying insects. It also samples the environmental data of relative humidity, temperature and light. The collected data is then wirelessly transmitted to a cloud server and through the web application it is possible to manage the traps and obtain information about density indices, population dynamics, etc.
